Barry Bloodgood

Singer/songwriter

When i was 10 years old my brother bought me my first guitar. He was part of the hippie revolution in years to come.To keep me out of trouble my mother made me take guitar lessons in Red Bank NJ.....Still got myself into all kinds of trouble anyways.                             The first style my guitar teacher taught me was the Boogie Woogie but i also got some classical influence from the Mel Bay books. My guitar teacher was right when he said "Country Music is gonna be the next biggest thing" so there is some of that influence in my music. My first record was by The James Gang  but my first real influence was James Taylor and i learnt all those songs. Joni Mitchel was also a big listen for me. After years of gigging at age 70 i decided it was time to make a full length album. The years of crazy adventures needed to documented along with a book I'm currently writing. Both the album and the book are NOT works of fiction.
